Davenports Visit
Our friends from California: Brian, Dawn and Olivia stayed with us last month. It was great catching up and Tyler really loved hanging out with Olivia.

Welcome Paxton!
This past Friday we welcomed our friend's new baby, Paxton Kai Riley at Mt. Auburn Hospital. We are so excited for them!

Dan's 31st
For my 31st Birthday, which happened to fall on Labor Day this year, we went up to Crane's Beach on the North Shore of Boston and spent the afternoon playing and eating. Because it was labor day, Sarah, Dave and Boys, Ben and Mom were able to come. We had a blast and it was a perfect way to to take in the holiday— National Rememberance of Daniel's Birthday Day or NRDBD.

Big Boy Bed
After taking the summer to get our former guest bedroom ready to be Tyler's new room, Tyler was finally able to try sleeping in his new big boy bed. He took it very seriously and let us know that he was ready by closing the gate and saying "Bye Bye". Well he did great and hasn't looked back. Every night he goes to sleep without a peep and then wakes up in the morning and gets a book from the shelve, brings it to his bed and reads for a while.
This is his first night in Bed.

Tyler's 2nd Birthday Party (sort of)
When Jen's parents were in town, Mama Pat made Tyler a cake in anticipation of his 2nd birthday. He LOVES blowing out candles.

Church Family Camp
At the end of August (busy month!) we drove up to Maine for our Church's annual Family Camp. It is held every year at an amazing place called Camp Laurel about 3 hours north of Boston. It was less actual camping and more like summer camp, but we at least had a campfire every night. We hope to go again next year when Tyler can appreciate the activities a little more!

VT Reunion
A few weekends ago we drove up to Vermont to the old house and spent a couple of days with Daniel's whole family - all the brothers and sisters and nephews and parents were there. It went by way to quick but it was great to see everyone.

Fenway
We had some Jen's extended family in town for a little while in August. Laura and her son Scott came to visit Boston for a conference and an his audition to Berkley School of Music (fingers crossed). They did a whirlwind tour of Boston, but they took us along to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game. It had been a while since we were there and it was a beautiful night at the park.
